Where to donate old sails
You can donate sails to SFS through:
- Volunteer collectors in your community
- Drop-off locations (usually a yacht club or sail loft)
- SFS table at a regatta
- Shipping directly to SFS HQ in Miami
Chicago
Allen Carter delivered his first load of sails to Miami in January 2012. He is collecting a second load of sails through the summer of 2012. E-mail Allen (allen.carter@ubs.com) or Ted Douglass (ted.douglass@ubs.com) to donate your sails.
Miami
Sails can be dropped off at Coconut Grove Sailing Club at any time. Place your sails in the blue box located on the first floor of the club. Use a permanent marker and write directly on each sail your name, phone number, and e-mail address so we can contact you and provide a receipt for tax purposes.
You can also arrange a drop-off at SFS headquarters in Coral Gables by sending an e-mail to Michael Carcaise (mcarcaise@sailsforsustenance.org).
Shipping to SFS
If you do not see your city listed above, you can ship sails directly to SFS headquarters:
Sails for Sustenance935 Palermo Ave, #1B
Coral Gables, FL 33134
Please remove battens prior to shipping your sails.

Contributions, both in-kind and monetary, are tax-deductible. All funds raised are used to transport sails to Haiti, or to send SFS representatives to Haiti to assess the impact of donated sails and to expand our reach by forming partnerships with trusted organizations that operate in Haiti every day.
